The SOLACE project (Solutions for improving Agroecosystem and Crop Efficiency for water and nutrient use) aims, on the one hand, to develop new varieties adapted to the drier conditions and, on the other hand, to improve the efficiency of water and nutrient use (especially nitrogen and phosphorus) through optimized management of agroecosystems. The project focuses on the three main crops in Europe: potatoes, bread wheat and durum wheat.
As part of the SOLACE Project, strip trials were carried out over several years in the wheat trial network in collaboration with farmers and the cantonal advisor service. Organic advisors Mathian Klaiss and Hansueli Dierauer from FiBL present the wheat trial network.
The video is in German but has German, English and French subtitles.
