Netiquette

We appreciate your comments and want everyone to be able to join in the discussion. We aim to promote constructive discussions, which should be critical but respectful. In order to make an interesting and respectful debate possible, we ask that everyone abide by our guidelines.

1. Guidelines

We are happy to publish comments. However, there is no right of publication and we reserve the right to delete comments that do not abide by the following rules:
Contributions may not contain insults, slander or defamation. Similarly, comments that aim to spread a certain political or religious conviction will not published. The same holds true for comments that contain racist or sexist remarks, or are otherwise discriminatory.

Comments should be written in English. Comments may be deleted if they are hardly legible, written in a language other than English, or overuse capital letters, lower case letters or certain punctuation marks. Comments that are too long (over 650 characters) may be rejected.

We also reserve the right not to post comments that are not relevant to the topic, are considered spam, and fill the comment columns unnecessarily.

2. Review

The editorial staff will review your posts on our websites before they go online. Comments that do not comply with the guidelines will be shortened or deleted. We will end discussions if they have moved too far away from the original topic of the article, or if the majority of comments violate our rules. Users who have seriously or repeatedly violated our rules may be banned.

3. Anonymity

We want to promote a constructive discussion. Anonymous comments are therefore not permitted. Every commentator has to register, either by creating a Disqus user account or via your facebook, twitter or google account. We expect this to create an interesting discussion culture.
